QUALIFICATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Education level: Supply Chain Qualification (not negotiable)
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, performing the functions above in a management/supervisory role
• A working experience in a manufacturing environment will be an advantage
• Preferable experience working in a multinational organisation (subsidiary experience)

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
? Vendor selection, comprising, but not limited to:
• Capacity of suppliers to meet our demand
• Delivery performance
• Quality and reputation of suppliers
• Financial strength of suppliers
• Technical/engineering ability
• After sales service
• Packaging
• Warranties and guarantees
• Price competitiveness
• Verification and confirmation that material has been received and/or service delivered as per agreed standards
? Maintenance of supplier database
? Maintenance of contracts and credit applications with suppliers
? Generation of purchase orders
? Completion of purchase orders in terms of agreed deliveries
? Responsibility to ensure that work commence only when purchase orders are authorised
? Price regulation
? Compliance with CSA’s payment terms or substantiation of deviations
? Maintenance of policies and procedures for the purchasing division
? Management of call outs for emergencies/ breakdowns and subsequent authorisation to ensure suppliers carry out our work with a purchase order
? Responsibility of collation of documents in preparation for payment
