Business Development Manager

Responsibility to deliver operating plan and business commitments with regards to sales growth, expanding customer base, customer retention and profitability (quarterly and annual regional goals and objectives to be met).
Grow revenues through managing strategic opportunity development, integrated account and valued proposition development.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Operational and Corporate Executives within sector.
Customer interaction and review visits to ensure customer satisfaction and brick walling of business.
Using domain expertise to turn customer needs into customized solutions that generate value, as well as driving differentiation in mining market segment.
Established Corporate agreements, support sales teams to complete sales projects as to deliver sustainable and profitable growth to Improchem.
Overseeing preparation and submission of customer proposals and tenders.
Developing practical and innovative strategic approaches to meet short and long term business goals.
Report back progress against sales objectives to senior management and provide monthly analysis of sales and action plans within operations.
Responsible for building a BIGGER values culture within operations.
Partnering cross-functionally within the company to optimize our solutions offerings. Developing an understanding of purpose, role and interdependence with other internal ImproChem/the company departments/businesses.
Diploma / Degree in Chemistry or Metallurgy a preference.
Minimum 3 years experience working with customers of major corporations on various levels of management , especially up to Executive level.
Good computer skills – Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Power Point.
Valid SA driver’s license.
Travelling into other parts of Africa is required for business development as needed.
